Programme

Day 1 Verbier → Cabane du Mont-Fort (~6 hrs)
We meet in Verbier and hike past summer pastures and quiet hamlets to reach the Mont-Fort hut. Welcome to the mountains.

Day 2 Mont-Fort → Mauvoisin (~6.5 hrs)
A big, beautiful day via the Mont-Pleureur nature reserve and Lac de Louvie. Cross a high mountain pass before descending to Mauvoisin.

Day 3 Mauvoisin → Cabane de Chanrion (~3.5 hrs)
An easier day along glacial valleys to Chanrion, a quiet, newly renovated hut in prime ibex territory. Time to relax and enjoy the setting.

Day 4 — Chanrion → Cabane FXB Panossière (~7 hrs)
The high point of the trek — literally and figuratively. Cross the Tsessette plateau and Col des Otanes, then descend to the stunning glacier-side hut.

Day 5 — Panossière → Le Châble (~6 hrs / 8 hrs without lift)
Descent via Moay/Bruson. If you’re tired, you can take the lift back down to Le Châble. Farewells in the valley.

Hiking times are approximate and may vary depending on weather and group pace.

“Famke shares with us her love of the mountains, her expertise in hiking and her passion for guiding. She leads in a quiet way and makes us feel we are in the right hands. The balance of challenge, comfort and flexibility made it a perfect trip. Thank you, Famke and Woody, for stealing everyone’s heart!”
