The Trip — Day by Day

Day 1 – Arrival in Kandersteg

Your home for the night is waiting: check in, change out of your travel clothes, and let the spa do its work before the adventure begins. Dinner together at 7 PM — the first of many good meals, and the moment the group becomes a group.

Day 2 – Oeschinensee: into the mountains

We start in the forest, climbing steadily through the trees with the lake appearing and disappearing below us. Waterfalls, steep rock faces, the smell of pine. And then — the lake from above, turquoise against the snow-capped peaks beyond. One of those views that makes the climb feel entirely worth it.

Day 3 – Over the Bunderchrinde Pass to Adelboden

The pass looks intimidating from below. It isn’t — but we won’t tell you that until you’re standing on top of it, slightly breathless, grinning. From the summit you can see both where you’ve been (Oeschinensee, glittering far below) and where you’re going (Adelboden, tucked into the valley ahead). Keep an eye out for ibex on the rocky slopes above, and the odd chamois picking its way across the ridge. A day that earns its spa time.

Day 4 – Through the Wildstrubel to Lenk

A day of long views and easy rhythm — the kind of hiking where conversation flows and you forget to check the time. We cross the Bummerenpass through high alpine terrain, with good chances of spotting marmots along the way. The mountains feel generous today. We end the evening with an authentic cheese fondue in the village of Lenk — the best kind of celebratory dinner.

    Day 5 – A relaxed finish

We follow a stream to a waterfall — and then another, and another, until we reach the source. There’s a legend attached to these falls. Christel will tell you when you get there. Back in Lenk, goodbyes over coffee. The spa is open until 3 PM, if you’re not quite ready to leave.
