Tour du Mont Fallère (3 days)

Over the course of 3 days, we will hike around the imposing Mont Fallère (3061 meters high). Anyone with a reasonable level of fitness can undertake this journey as we traverse no overly challenging paths. An added benefit is that, instead of constantly watching your feet, you can soak in the breathtaking views!

We will walk approximately 5 to 6 hours each day, staying in 2 highly comfortable mountain huts and indulging in the local Italian cuisine, wines, and beers.
.

Day 1
We will meet in Etroubles. Today, we will walk for ‘only’ 4 hours to the splendid Rifugio Chaligne. This refuge stands as one of the most beautiful, lovely rooms and a cozy fireplace in the dining area. The dinner kicks off well with a delightful platter of local sausages and cheese. When you open the window in the morning, you’ll witness a stunning sunrise with a view of the Matterhorn.

Day 2
After breakfast, we embark on a substantial ascent through a splendid larch forest. The path then leads us across alpine meadows teeming with flowers, butterflies, marmots, and cows! For those who fancy it, a refreshing dip in Lac Fallère is an option. From this lake, it’s just an hour’s walk to the hut of the same name. This hut is equally comfortable and cozy!

Day 3
Today, we start with the ascent of Monte Vertosan, nearly 3000 meters high! Subsequently, a long descent through meadows and forests awaits us, leading us back to our starting point in Etroubles.

For Whom: This journey is suitable for anyone with a reasonable level of fitness.
